Promoting Hope, Healing and Acceptance

Have you ever attended a Remembrance Service?

Have you ever attended a Remembrance Service?
If the answer is yes, then you will know something of what a Chaplain does! As well as these public services, Chaplains meet with individuals and families, with patients in hospital, prison or in the workplace. They offer holistic support to people of all faiths and beliefs.
Thank to The National Lottery Community Fund Veterans Chaplaincy Scotland has launched a Scotland-wide Mapping Project to better understand the chaplaincy support available to veterans and their families.
We’re looking to hear from:
🔹 Veterans
🔹 Chaplains
🔹 Veterans’ charities and support organisations
🔹 Armed Forces associations
🔹 NHS and local authority partners
🔹 Faith communities
🔹 Anyone involved in supporting the Armed Forces community
We want to understand:
What chaplaincy support currently exists
How veterans access that support
How referral pathways work in practice
Where there are gaps, barriers, or unmet need
How we can work together to improve access and collaboration
Your experience and knowledge will help us build a clear picture of chaplaincy provision across Scotland and inform recommendations that strengthen support for veterans and their families. Whether you’re delivering services, referring veterans, or have personal experience of seeking support, we’d greatly value your contribution. If you’d like to take part or find out more, please contact us at vcs@vcscotland.org.
